Where we come from

DTW Transport, LLC is owned by Donald and Tammy Werner.  Tammy has been in the management of a trucking company for 30 years.  Starting out as Dispatcher and Office Assistant, she has learned and managed all aspects of the company including Accounting, Safety and Human Resources. Don has worked in the transportation industry for 34 years and is a licensed driver, mechanic and has  managed the Service and Accounting departments for 19 years.

We began in 2009 with just 7 trucks and have become more than four times that size in just a short time. We currently maintain around 125 - 53' dry vans. Today, we maintain an efficient staff of safe drivers, each having several years of experience whose safe driving skills have combined for approximately 35 million miles.  Don Werner, our Maintenance Supervisor, along with our maintenance staff, has over 40 years of combined experience with Cummins, Caterpillar, and Detroit engines and performs all our services in house.

On October 6, 2008, Robert & Norma Bean, the owners of R. Bean & Son were tragically taken from us.  This lead to closing that company down, and the beginning of DTW Transport, LLC.  Although our parents are greatly missed, they taught us many wonderful things about the trucking industry.  They trained both Don and Tammy and encouraged them to use the gifts they had to be successful in business.

Together with our Drivers, Office Staff, Maintenance Staff and Management team, we provide a quality service that is unmatched in our industry.  We set our standards high and work to achieve them.
